Amy Winhouse Dies At Only 27.

English singer Amy Winehouse died at 4:05pm (London Time) on the 23rd of July in her Camden Square home. It may not be a huge shock to everyone that the young soul diva passed away as she has publicly battled with drug and alcohol addiction for many years and had even predicted her own death by saying that she feared she would die at 27 like many of the great rock legends including  The Doors front man Jim Morrison who died in 1971 .
She was a slight framed woman with an amazing voice that bellowed out hits such as Rehab, which of course ended up being even more poignant a song than even she realized as she spent many times in and out of rehab after the song was released even though she originally stated the song was not about her.

No one is sure as to exactly what killed her but there are rumors going around that this was an ecstasy  overdose. Amy had been trying hard to get her life back together but would go through bouts of healthy living even working out at the gym and eating healthily and looking good but then go through a sudden depressive phase and go back to the unfortunate drinking, drug taking chain smoking woman that we all know her for, almost more than we know her music. After Amy's last spell in rehab in May, she unfortunately appeared for one of her gigs completely intoxicated to such an extent that she had to get helped (some say pushed) onto the stage and sang incoherently and out of tune, some fans said that they would be surprised if Amy even knew where she was. She was booed off stage and it was later announced that she had canceled all twelve of her upcoming gigs.
The tattoed soul singers music and voice were like a breath of fresh air back in 2006 when she released Rehab as it was such a refreshing change to the usual girl groups at the time with their pop songs, Amy's music seemed much less teeny bop and more sophisticated. Although she had a few piercings and some tattoos at this time, she was not known for her drug taking and had a very healthy and slim, but curvy in the right places figure.

A few years later and a transformation of the worst had taken place, Amy's popular beehive looked more like a birds nest and her trademark, thick, flicked eyeliner looked smudged. At this point she was in a relationship  with Blake Fielder-Civil who is said to be the blame of Amy's demise as he apparently got her into drug taking. They had a very public relationship and were often in the headlines after being pictured having blazing, drunken rows with Amy being pictured with blood on her ballet pumps which people thought were from her husband Blake hitting her as he too had bloodied scratch marks on his face but Amy later revealed that she was cutting herself after Blake caught her about to do drugs with a prostitute.

Although a post mortem has still to be carried out I don't think anyone will be shocked if she died from anything other than a drug overdose as she was said to have bought a mix of drugs the night before but weather or not her death was accidental will remain to be seen as there is no information regarding a suicide note. Despite Amy's drug taking she often said to friends and in interviews that wold love to settle down and become a housewife and would love nothing more than to cook and clean all day long.
Many people are already angered at the attention Amy's death has had in the media as she was seen by some as nothing more than a junkie, but fans of hers had followed her from the beginning when she was a pretty and shy looking girl that just had a few insecurities and watched her turn into a person that they saw a part of themselves in, turn into a self destructive, unwashed looking drug addict that could barely be recognized as being the same young, fresh faced star of a few years ago.
Weather or not you liked her or her music, please spare a though for her family and friends who will have to go through the pain of her death in public.
